Ken Roach RIP

Unread post by Bowie » Sun Apr 15, 2018 6:46 pm

Ken Roach, long time freelance pilot operating mostly out of Lanseria Airport, passed away on 11th April 2018.
I have been unable to gather further information up to know but understand it was cancer related.
If any one has any further updated information it will be appreciated.

He was the first guy to entrust me with a flying job at Lanseria in 1986. Bank runs in a C206. RIP Ken

WOW....He was on my mind so much the last couple of months. Did not know he was ill. Had the pleasure of camping with Ken now and again on the South Coast. Absolute brilliant pilot and gentleman. Condolences to the family. Now flying with wings of a different kind.

RIP and condolences.....

Hell of an aviation mentor to have...consider myself extremely lucky to have had him motivate me through my journey in attaining the CPL (still ongoing) *facepalm - always had the dry wit , always had the wide smile , always had that moustache , all round good aviator and I have to thank him for imparting some incredible knowledge to me which I hope will make me a better and safer pilot in the future.

Enjoy surfing the clouds Uncle Ken,
