Now ANC have started talking about disrespect for the org - I think they've handled this well from the org's POV - making Zuma out to be the difficult oke, to keep his residual supporters in line - if he doesn't resign, next step parly Motion of No Confidence ...

Eddie,

What perks of office is JZ entitled to if he is forced out via a vote of No Confidence?
Can he claim any "special" treatement or protection ?
Or does he simply become a "normal" citizen ?

Constitutionally he has the same as if he resigned or saw out his term. Full salary, medical, protection, cars, etc etc. Only an "impeachment" would see him lose his benefits.

The Zuma saga is done and dusted - if he doesn't resign today he will be out tomorrow and Slick Cyril will take his place.

One of my Harvesters in the orchard said this morning: " be carefull, the whole Zuma soap opera is just to hoodwink us. The ANC is still much more important than the Country". I thought for a fig picker that was quite profound 8)

What happens if he resigns/voted out and is thereafter found guilty of state capture/crime? Does he then lose his benefits?

Not sure. Off the top of my head I would think not (but maybe something in the Constitution - or some other law - I don't know about)(maybe somebody else has better info?).

If found guilty though he is looking at jail time, fines, pay back the (corrupt) money, etc etc.

Zuma on SABC News now addressing the recall. Basic gist is "I need to be furnished as to what I have done"
If ever in doubt about flying - drink a beer.
That will give you at least 8 hours to think about it some more.
