Did Iberia fly into PE yesterday? Or did I hear wrong? What aircraft, from where for what purpose?

Nice to hear, I'm 2 miles east of the 03 approach, and see GA aircraft flying into OR Tambo. Cirrus SR-22 ZS-JPB

Not that I can see. There was a GLEX that went in and out from FACT on the 8th, operated by Hyperion Aviation. Callsign probably Hyperion... which sounds similar to Iberia?

Repatriation I was told. There are some photos around of a bunch of dogs being loaded too. I suppose in the dim, distant future when we are back to "normal", QF 63/64 are likely to use the 787s. Must say, even if the stats say the safety case is an illusion, I always felt a little more comfortable with a couple of extra engines strapped to the wings. It would be a looong trek from way down south in a single if something went bang.

Last year sometime Qantas said they are looking at introducing SYD-CPT flights to make up for the lost capacity on the SYD-JHB route by switching to 787s. It would cut serious travel time and effort from our commute to Sydney to get the direct CPT flights.
