FAGC is a waste of time and money. Go look at all the empty office spaces. Not sure what they are trying to achieve with their ridiculous pricing on EVERYTHING. Businesses are moving away and definitely private sector as well. Probably their intention to close it down to allow for industrial construction much like Viginia??

Avgas price R33.86 per litre inclusive of VAT at Rand

Last week around R 26.00 per litre.

Mogas increase was R2.43, how do they justify R7.86 increase per litre.

Surely it does not contribute to Road Accident Fund, its a aeroplane.

Just imagine how this is going to affect the flight schools ...Eish :(

Just as a matter of interest, when I did the fuel prices as at the 27th May, the average price for Avgas, nationwide, was R30.28/ltr and Jet A1 R21.91/ltr. These include VAT but exclude any levies etc.

In Brisbane we’re paying AU$2.95/l which is near enough R33 per litre too.
My wife keeps saying I don't listen to her or something like that !?

On another website from the UK there are two reports of AVGAS prices, one of R55.00 per litre at Shoreham airport in the South of England and R56.00 per litre at Inverness in Scotland, before club discount. One in the East of England was down at R39/L but that may be last months stock being sold.

Not a good time to be running a warbird...

Hope you flying farmers can sell your wheat at a price to compensate :)

Just paid $8.50 a gallon here in the NorthEast US today (both in Massachusetts and New Jersey). Translates to about R35/l.
But if you told me it's going to cost over R9000 to fill my Mooney's tanks .... :cry: (But then also - viva Jabiru - now probably the only realistic way to fly in SA - OK add Sling if you have money for the upfront acquisition)

I suspect that here are going to be a lot of "large engined" piston aircraft on the market in the coming months.
