Can anyone comfirm or deny if they were at the garage filling up with fuel...the media reports say they were and the car rammed into them there.

If this was the case, then it was an inside planned job as they shud never have been refueling with the crew in the minibus.

I hope the media were/are wrong again.

It is a sad sad day for all aviation knowing that contract flying will never be the same

RIP to everyone

We heard they were at the first traffic circle entering the airport and that she rammed into them there. Whether that's true or not I do not know.

Net Booth (47) en Fraser Carey (32), albei vlieëniers, se name was teen druktyd beskikbaar.

Daar is twee roetes lughawe toe.

Excuse my ignorance Goffel, but what you are saying is that it is 'security protocol' to get from A to B and not to stop with crew-in-transit? Is that common procedure in places such as Afghanistan?

Minibus was not refueling at the petrol station, the road where they were rammed, runs adjacent to the petrol station. The force of the blast "re-positioned" the bus into the petrol station grounds.

This one has been released by IOL, according to them, the NOK have been notified.
Ex-Durban woman killed in Kabul

September 19 2012 at 07:40am
By Tania Broughton and Colleen Dardagan

Jeni Ayris, would have returned to South Africa this week, but she was one of eight citizens killed in a suicide attack in Kabul.

Durban - One of the dead South African’s, killed a deadly blast in Kabul during a suicide bomb attack, was former Durban woman Jeni Ayris, who was listed as the customer relations manager of ACS/BalmOral, a job she held from September last year.

Ayris, a former pupil at Grosvenor Girls High School, Durban, matriculated in 1982, left South Africa about 15 years ago and had been working and living in the UK until her move to Kabul.

Before taking up the posting in Afghanistan, she ran a South African-themed coffee shop in Edinburgh, which sold food and goods from SA.

Her sister, Patricia, a nurse who also lives in Edinburgh, was too upset to speak to The Mercury on Tuesday.

According to her Facebook site, Ayris, a keen sailor, had been due to fly home on Friday and had been planning a trip to Cape Town.

Several of her friends posted comments recently regarding her safety.

One of her last postings, on September 10, read: “11 days to go to… misty, wet, chilly, windy and grey weather and I cannot wait! Oh yes and sailing on the West Coast, Mulltasia, Le De Vin, Aberdeen Angus steak, scallops, friends, Masusta, weddings, Ireland, Amsterdam??, my own bed (have to remove tenant first), Waitrose, Artisan coffee in Brunnies, Waga Mama’s, the Castle, other folks children, movies, happy hour ‘somewhere’ every day, tramworks, live music and HOME”. - The Mercury
Very, very sad...RIP

I think it is BEYOND DISGUSTING that our own media (TIMES LIVE, IOL etc), are prepared to publish graphic images of the bodies lying in mangled wreckage. I would like to know how their editors would feel if that was their children lying there. They should be ashamed of themselves.
