Is the whole of CAA populated by morons?

C
...I think the question is - is the CAA (the institute) populated at all? There is no way that almost nothing can happen between the lot of them if they do pitch up for work? I said almost to accomodate those stalwarths like Mary, and the few that pull their weight daily even in these shitty times! =D> =D>

I submitted all docs required on 22 July and last Friday was told that it was approved and only awaiting signature. Phoned again Monday morning - still awaiting signature! Phoned after 13h00 today - still awaiting signature so I queried how long it could take to sign a couple of pieces of paper and was told that it’s about a week as they are very very busy !! This after it took 2 months to process my ATF application.

Hoer...Ha..."SACAA...Dear client your licence has been processed..... Can anyone suggest a trustworthy courier to the bushveld...Thabazimbi/Ellisras/Lappielallie ??? My deduction is that the CAA is processing licences to fit in with their "automatic" extensions. Mine is up to end August. If one keeps that in mind it is not so bad to wait for it and you actually lose nothing. I retract my previous rant on 9 month licences.  Now to make a appointment to fetch it. .....you may not collect it without a appointment....to catch a non covid moment to receive it.

Hi Marius,

I recommend:

Civil Aviation Assist

Or

Suzanne Aviation
info@caaservices.co.za

Both providers offer really good service.

Yup. One hr early but all security wanted to see is a booking. Document collecter in front of me . The standard 20 min search to find the licence....very friendly and helpfull desk clarck. Anyone who has ever bought anything at BMB (bearing man) should have enough petience for the CAA

Is it possible to place the details and location of the online booking system in one place on a perhaps sticky post so that pilots can go to the relevant links to download forms and make a collection booking, I'm on the CAA site and see zilch on making an appointment.

Its all on one page at the CAA (Got there from the link on the main page (the big one that scrolls through different "links/ads/info"))

http://www.caa.co.za/Pages/Personnel%20 ... tions.aspx

Just click the big blue boxes in link above for forms, fees or booking

They could make the initial link easier to find, but then it would not be the SACAA

Click on each big blue block for what you need. Forms or fees or collection appointment

Here's the Link to the SACAA web page with all the numbers and email addresses you may need:

http://caa.co.za/Pages/Personnel%20Lice ... tails.aspx

We have Licenses still awaiting processing from early June 2020. There are no words.
