Planning a round the country in 10 days trip.
Don’t bargain on fuel in Margate and if you do it’s about R21.70/L. FAVG will have and if I remember it’s around R18and change/L.

Look in the SA Flyer for a fairly accurate list of Avgas prices. They publish a list, monthly.

For the chaps heading to the Cape coast, I just checked fuel availability in Queenstown, EC, FAQT.

They have avgas available, R18.54 incl VAT.

I bought Avgas at FAWB on the weekend for R14.70 VAT included. Have not seen such a good price for years. :D
SV aviation (Skeerpoort) now has a permanent base there.

NOTAM says no fuel available? Is Skeerpoort at the normal fuel bay, otherwise where do you go to get to them?

Jet-A is around R8.40 VAT incl. Whirly, maybe time to rethink selling that beauty of an Alouette?

They are at Land Folio Hangars, just north of Eagle Air.

As at today, FAGC is still R18.92 incl VAT. Ultimate Heliport R17.60 incl VAT. Eagle's Creek R17.00 incl VAT.

Actually, Eagle’s Creek is 17.00 plus VAT. Which makes it at R19.55 VAT including one of the most expensive places at the moment.

Fuel staff at Eagle’s Creek may be misrepresenting this when speaking to them over the phone, and even in person straight at the pump. That was at least my experience when I went there today.

Best to ask them to show you the “price list” they have on their tablet computer before filling up, to be sure what rate they will use once you are done.
