Avgas prices are not regulated like Mogas is. Its a free market situation. Remember the quantities are not large and delivery costs are high.

Look at the price of diesel sometime - I have seen R1/l difference at two Engen petrol stations 500m from each other. The one on the main road charging R1/l extra for the 'convenience'...

AVGAS with smaller volumes and higher operating costs is even more variable. Some airfields also work a 'landing fee' into the fuel price to help maintain the airfield.
