Thought I'd just send an update.

Initially had a good start with X-plane 11 with the Zibo. Just a hassle to install, especially if you somehow miss a step or two. I underestimated how important the instructions were. FMC and Thrust did not work. Eventually I found the mistake. Then I learned the save/load function is unreliable, especially needing to do plenty TO's / App's. Anyhow, still plenty of issues / bugs around, except maybe if you are good and understand the tweaks needed, unlike me. Just seemed as I fix the one thing, something else showed up, unlike what I had with PMDG before. Anyhow I think Zibo is a very good product, and some great help available on the web, especially from Nico de Bruyn, Skymatix. Zibo was just too clever for my brain I think, especially with limited time.

Eventually went with P3D and PMDG, Sorted and installed and works 100%. Hope someone can use this info in the future.

PS seems a new fix just came out for the SKI / save/load bug. :)

I would recommend either P3D or X-Plane 11 with the Carenado BE36. As for a decent C210 I would not get the Carenado C210 on its own. SimCoders have a Reality Experience Package for the Carenado C210, available for the X-Plane version. I tried the Carenado C210 in P3D and would advise against purchasing it.

Give IL2 a whirl .... yes it is combat but the planes and scenery is amazing and there are truly beautiful aircraft with pretty accurate FMs. THere are also WW1 biplanes and ww2 tanks if you have the need.
