Not my screenshots...But look at the quality of this FS2004 scenery...its Switzerland Pro payware scenery...makes FS9 look pretty good compared to FSX.

If you've seen the Mirage 2000 video of the Swiss Air Force in the Alps you'll identify these valleys.

Guess I'll have to let the Mitchell slide,. I have too much payware already :( (need to save kudos for the real aerie)

A chopper from Hovercontrol, the scenery is the excellent Dubai scenery from FlyTampa! Seen here landing on top of the Hotel.

Wonder if this is what it will look like when the first Emirates A380 arrives in Dubai.

Shouldn't you be comparing apples with apples?
Due to the price increase in ammunition, do not expect a warning shot.

Sig Sauer, kinda like Glock except for men.

Again I believe MS should have taken the trouble to see what was available for FS2004 including the work introduced by payware designers, and improve on that.

What I am saying is; it looks pretty good compared to the FSX apples I've seen. I can't wait to see the real macoy....and yes perhaps the demo doesn't do the new software justice.

Remember to upgrade to FSX means there is a considerable hidden investment to be made in hardware - its not just the software to be purchased....so that needs to be weighed into the "apple basket" as well.

For some this could mean a R6000-R8000 investment in new hardware to run software costing R450. And R3000 will buy a lot of payware for FS9.

When the young apples arrive we'll take another look....

Another comparison would be to take note of any improvements to the Cessna, Mooney, Beech 350 and the Baron models in terms of more realism.

I only switched to FS9 (from FS8) at the beginning of 2006. I had bought some payware scenery (UK Airports and Spanish Airports) and payware aeries (Caranado, Captin Sim L-39, SF260 and one I can't remember) in the past and I just did not feel like forking out money for new scenery or aeries.

I finally made the switch for the better AI programmingand the better weather. Now I have quite a few payware packages both aeries and scenery and I intend to fly those for the next year or two, at least. I pull 30 frames now under most conditions, sure I don't have everything maxed out but I have it high enough.

I will definatly like to try FSX out when it gets here, same as I did when FS9 was launched. but it'll be on the pc for a weekend or so and then It will be removed.

Next time I upgrade the pc I'll think of getting FSX. (which should by that time have all the release bugs ironed out)
