I visited Johan this past week and I am impressed with the time and effort he and the team are putting into this fly in. =D> =D> Well done.

I am sure many pilots will fly to this event to enjoy that wonderful country. Take your time stay a while. If you have not been there before, you'll be amazed what the desert can offer.

Johan is planning to make a list of things visiting pilots should be aware of, like new power lines which are not shown on all aviation maps, and other tips when planning a trip such as this. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact him on the above email address.

Thanks for showing us your very well restored aircraft Johan.

Fly safe, the desert is not a playing field. [-X

Hi all Aviators

No fixed date yet but will be around end May beginning of June.
We will have to look at long weekends or holidays for Namibians
as well as South Africans to accommodate everyone.
Specially for accommodation availability that it do not fall with the Land rover
year get together.Or the Skedonk rally from Windhoek to Uis
This is any old car , rusted , without exhaust or windscreens etc but running.
What a sight to see when they arrive at Uis - sometimes 3 towing each other.
Yes we have fun in our hinterland.

Johan

If the South Africans that would like to participate and this date do not suit most
let us know. Perhaps we can move it forward or back.
For us the work is the same and we are within an hour or two flying from Uis
