One day, when that piece of pristine road is opened, I wonder whether there might be a potential problem with headlights in the eyes of aircraft landing RWY 11? (Or vice versa, when 29 is in use)

Come to think of it: this little stump at the western end of this closer roundabout: where in heck is that supposed to be going...straight through RWY 18/36??? :?

Luckily Rand will never need to build more hangers, or a cargo depot, or another terminal building. Lets get the quick payout now. Not like our population will grow in the next 50 or 100 years.

And when are they going to quit mucking around at Virginia and start erecting those new hotels we so desperately need on that specific little piece of coastline ??

There are dozens of them standing empty.

Thought this web site was for aviation supporters.

We have enough trouble surviving here as it is. Please dont stir that pot up again.

Grandiose schemes by a small group of politically motivated greedy individuals who are only looking at self enrichment. Nothing to do with economy or environment as claimed.

ZS-AUB has finally been relocated to the SAA museum. It is dreadfully sad to know that this beautiful and historic aircraft will never grace the skies again. To the guys at the SAAMS: please take good care of it.

My first pic of this 185 at Rand was in Nov 2018, but this is the first time I have been able to get a pic of it outside its hangar
