Built 2009 by Grant Beattie, well-known builder in KZN. Grant has built five RVs and several other aircraft and has won several EAA awards.
Based at Morningstar, Cape Town
145 Hours

Engine - Mattituck TMX O-360 Carburetted
Prop - Sensenich Fixed Pitch

Instrumentation
2 x MGL Voyager EFIS
Completely separate AHRS, Electronic compasses and backup battery per EFIS.
MGL V10 VHF Com radio
Magnetic compass (lighted)
Autopilot - TruTrak Digiflight II GPSS Two Axis with GPS Steering
Hobbs hour meter
Transponder - Bendix King KT76A
Garmin 340 audio panel including Marker beacon receiver
Full navigation lights including strobe
Landing lights (four filaments)
Dynon heated pitot tube
Kannad Integra 406 GPS ELT
"Eyeball" cockpit lights
Smoke system for aerobatics

ATF allows Night VFR

It's a Lycoming clone, like Superior. Mattituck is actually owned by Lycoming.

Hi, It seems that i was wrong about Mattituck being owned owned by Lycoming. They are actually now owned by Continental.

The engines are based on the Lycoming O-360 but with a lot of improvements.

....txs for correction, the O360 is a solid motor so this Mattituck should be bullet proof. Good to hear about variations in powerplants been used - hope she sells soonest?
