Magni M18 Spartan

Unread post by Induna » Sat Oct 29, 2016 7:09 pm

Hi all,

since there are only 3 registered Magni M18's in the country, I would like to start this page to share some of my adventures with this little beast...

Feel free to post pictures, videos and comments of your M18, or other interesting literature about these exciting rotorcraft.

Enjoy!

Jacques

I stand to be corrected? I think its two for now.....

I hear that one hit a tree ........while it was on a trailer  the dooooos driving the car that had the trailer on tow was busy listening to bok van blerk and was not paying attention....I think there are few pics on face book??

Im certain guys like you also feel the same way about sex.......its great.....but trust me its much better when two of you are at it

Haha! Yes for sure a two-seater is better, but eish $$$$

I have seen the pics of the one that hit the tree... very sad!

So I am one step closer to be flying my beloved M18 again... I bought her back in January and then lockdown came... I have the ATF and applied now for a ferry permit.

Hopefully she will again fly within the next week or so (last time was 2017)...

Hi Bearcat,

ZU-DRF
ZU-RHT (mine)

The third one I don't know. This is the info I got from Butch from Magni SA. I think it might be the one that Louis van Wyk had many moons ago (Still called a VPM then)

I assume you mean ZU-RDF and ZU-RHT (ZU-DRF is an RV) + 1 other
I was told that RDF was the last M18 manufactured ... but I have never tried to verify that

Oops yes RDF. No it was not the last one. The one i have now (RHT) was the last one. It was manufactured in December 2011 (registered 2012 in RSA) for Dr Alan Rothberg on special request. (That’s the info he gave me when I bought it from him)

If not mistaken i think RDF was a 2009 model?

RDF is the only other flying Magni M18 at the moment and i believe it is in the market. Speak to Christine at Morningstar. She would be able to assist.
