Sorted for now* Opportunity for female in game capture industry

Unread post by Rotor kop » Mon Jul 01, 2019 7:37 pm

I know this is not a pilot job but the person is required to fly to work most of the time  I am unsure where to place this either

I currently have an awesome 34 year old that accompanies me on most of my captures, however she is getting too busy in her photography business and is not able to attend on a regular basis any longer.

I am looking for a lightweight female who is interested to initially start on a day by day basis (as and when required). This however will turn into a full time position/partnership in time. The lady can be married, single or whatever. Must be a non-smoker (very slightly negotiable if all the boxes are ticked and this one is not) and preferably a non drinker. Be able to join me on short notice. Must be willing to fly everywhere in a R44. Must be able to work among rough and often foul mouthed farmers/capture teams (unfortunately this i have no control over) whilst i am in the air doing mass capture. She must be prepared to be trained to dart out the chopper, and netgun if required (i will supply all the training). She will need to be able and willing to assist with the ground capture team logistics when required as well as admin for my personal business (Gai Game Services). Need to be comfortable to sleep in any condition/accommodation that might arise. I will be personally responsible for her safety at night etc. Age is not really a deciding factor other than i would not really like younger than 21 or older than 50. No dependents that require a mother (babies). Looks is definitely not a deciding factor but must be presentable and neat on herself. A weight restriction of 65 - 70 max. I will supply the Khaki tops and cap. My wife will need to approve the selected candidate.

Too much to cover here but anyone fitting the above or interested to discuss further can PM or email me for further info and my number. Or send me your CV and questions. Daily rate will be discussed with those who send CV. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves to travel to different game farms around the country and southern africa and who would like to work in the game capture industry. This opportunity will also include a profit share in the business. Unfortunately the game season is not all year round, however we can discuss this.

Cheers,
Charles

Just to clear any possible confusion 8) This is NOT a helicopter pilot position, i am the pilot myself. I have no idea how my post can be misread as a "game capture helicopter pilot position", but it unfortunately has confused a few people #-o I am not the best at putting things into words. Appologies if it does sound that way

FWIW seemed pretty clear to me and especially liked the last sentence in the penultimate paragraph, ie, "My wife will need to approve the selected candidate", which, presumably only applies to "female" candidates

Reading between the lines, if you’re a hot young blonde, don’t bother applying

For sure Jack Welles. The lady i currently operate with loves it. Unfortunately she needs to move on (my loss :( ). But is an awesome experience for the right personality. Can be tough at times....especially with me being a difficult character (ask my wife and buddies at Petit  8) ).

I edited my initial post to include the max weight of 65-70kg (i am probably going to get a few dirty looks) and removed the "or lightweight male" part.

There has been a lot of interest  A lot of them unfortunately cannot read 8) #-o But am surprised there are so many woman out there prepared to move around like a nomad and get stuck into the game industry =D> =D> =D>
Thanks for all the responses so far =D>

All you have to do is say some anti-SA stuff and then I will come and get all defensive about beautiful SA and its wierd and wonderful and awful people that inhabit the joint. Then someone else will chip in that I must be ignorant (and I'll fight back) and then your thread will stay the top of the list for a while. However not long after that it will be locked and then you will have to start a new thread but you can just copy and paste from your OP and then we can start the process all over again and then it will be at the top of the list for a while and then .......................................... ............................

RK, having read your original post before your edit, I am also somewhat bemused how it could have been mistaken for a pilot position. However, looking at the job section, it's pretty apparent that many pilot-type jobseekers seem incapable of understanding even the most basic of requirements and instructions. (And then they often wonder why they are being ignored or binned by employers)

It is most certainly a wonderful opportunity for the right candidate and I wish you every success in finding one.

PS: There. Now I've also done my bit in keeping the thread active :)
