Helicopter Christmas Tree Round-up?

Unread post by Daimler » Tue Apr 06, 2021 8:52 pm

Hi,

I came across this video of a Jet Ranger doing Christmas Tree round up in the USA. I have great respect for the pilot's skill, but no idea if its safe at all. It seems to be common practice for these pilots who seasonally do these round ups.

What are your thoughts?

Define "safe" :D Is anything safe? Nothing wrong or unsafe about this. As long as the pilot has the training and experience.

Well clearly he can fly and yes time is money .. but my opinion is he is way to aggressive on that Jetty, and potential turbine overspeeds too.....
