H125

Unread post by NR100% » Mon Sep 06, 2021 9:10 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know where one can definitely get a H125 rating these days? Preferably in the Gauteng area… but I’ve tried a few places already with no luck.

Thanks.

Try Capital Air at Rand. They have a B2. Did mine a month ago there.

Capital Air at Rand Airport has an AS350 B2 & an AS350 B3+ - not sure if the B3+ is on the ATO though.

Ultimate HELI at the Ultimate HELIPORT in Waterfall also have an AS350 B2 and an AS350 B3, also not sure if they're on their ATO or not.

The H125 is technically an AS350 B3E variant of the Squirrel - MCC aviation have a few of them, but as far as I know they don't have an ATO.

Ultimate has a B3 2B which is not so common these days, most guys train on B3 2B1 which makes it easy on pilots who want to convert.

Capital as a B3e if I'm not mistaken.

Between Capital and Ultimate you should come right.

Hi guys,
So Ultimate said they have non on there ATO, and Capital only has a B2 on their ATO.

Seeming very challenging to find a B3 in S.A to do a rating on :|

Maybe try contact Ivor Marais, chief pilot at Airbus Helicopters. They normally know what Airbus helicopters are available for training in the country. They also have an H125 simulator, but I can't remember which version it is. I have sent you a pm with his email address.
