Unread post by Pete » Mon Mar 03, 2014 4:53 pm

Lycoming has just released TBO service bulletin 1009AW (attached) which includes an across the board increase in TBO from 2000 to 2200 hours on all the Lycoming powered RHC helicopters, to presumably coincide with the 2200 airframe overhaul.

This is blerrie good news!! :D :D :D

I have not read it yet - but is there no clause where you must fly 40hrs per month etc. etc. If this is the case then this has been allowed for a while now. This is really good news Pete - i glanced through it quick and it seems we may be in luck :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ::D :D:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Yup RK.. the frequent use (40 hours or more a month consecutively) for these engines falls away and defaults to a total 2200 hour TBO irrespective of usage.
