Finally the whole lot has been installed and the HT leads in position. Also note the custom build carbon fiber covers for the engine mounts.

I thought it was some kind of a voltage regulators :oops: #-o ......but it's a good thing you cover up as much as possible that could be fiddled with. :wink: :D

It will be hard to turbo charge or water cool those engine mounts!!!!!

:lol: :lol: The covers are there to seal off the areas around the engine mounts. If they also keep away fiddlers that is also good.

And so the year start again.....

Jan is back from well deserved holiday break. After attending to a Namibian family member's pressing matter is back at the grind stone.....

Well I would have expected Jan to take at least another week to get going again! Nope, back to work it was today it seems......

As I have had problems in the past with the paint shops not preparing the cowls well enough, I have taken the cowls up to the stage where the final gloss paint can be put on. A lot of sanding and prepping in order to make sure that there are no pinholes that will cause blisters later on.

I must say - the new grey cowls from Vans are much easier to prep s there are not nearly as many pinholes as before.

Still a lot of work to make the oil door where I have deviated from the plans. Also to make the oil door fit well is not easy.
