Gents, Got my ATF in hand.

So this weekend after I put her back together again after the inspection I took the Family (Wife and Little one) on a cruise.
This was the first time we flew together as a family. My Wife and Little one sat at the back and I had the front to myself.

My wife is so impressed with the space and visibility from the back, and how stable this airplane just cruises.
My little one can actually see outside without the aid of a booster cushion, so she is enjoying it more too.

Many more little family trips are planned, before the long trips start.

Regards
Rudi

Hi Rudi

Congratulations on the beatiful RV-10. May I ask what mounting bracket you used for the I pad - is it available locally?

Thanks and enjoy the family flights!

Savas not much to report, I keep on doing short trips with the family getting them ready for further flyouts later i.e. baberton and Mozambique later in September.

I had to make 2 small changes:
I solved an unstable high rpm indication with larger pickup resistors for the Dynon.
I swapped out the SV42 autopilot servo for the larger stronger SV52, and the AP performance in heavy turbulence is now rock solid.

I have given 1 or 2 people RV10 flips to experience the bigger vans aircraft.

Kind regards
Rudi

Hi Rudi,

Good to hear this snag has been sorted out. It seems you had to go the long route with a stronger servo.

Did you go this route straight away or did you try the more torque/less throw adjustment on the SV42's?

Peter, I made contact with Dynon and explained my problem, they shipped me a SV52 before I had time to experiment.
My advise to current SV42 owners is move to maximium torq position ie closest servo arm hole to the axis, if you still have problems get bigger servo.

Congrats on the ATF & family flights.
Time to update that avatar pic something like RV7, family in front of hangar, Rv10 may be appropriate.

Moz Trip

Unread post by RudiGreyling » Wed Oct 03, 2012 6:30 pm

Back from my first Long Cross Border Safari: Mozambique

Wow Whatta Airplane cruiser!
Wife is just all smiles, the first time the little one can go with us on our flying safaris. She said 10 X or more she just loves the new RV10 spacious, fast and comfortable.

Wife also used all the available packing space to take with on holiday: Baggage area to the roof, Empty PAX seat to the window (And i still had weight & CG capacity to spare, volume was the problem ;-) )
Little one soon fell asleep for most of the trip. Bliss

I love my RVs
