Congrats Jean. Change the website and get building a demo cubby and then fly around and start getting some orders.

Good luck

Thanks guys for bearing with me on this tiresome episode. As I said earlier , now the hard work begins......... to restore this great little aircraft to it`s rightfull place in the market.
Anyone needing parts, just call us.
Website , yes, and a flying example alongside that. We do advertise every alternate month in African Pilot, one month Revmaster, next month Cubby.

Jean.

Finally Jean,
now you need to put all the patience and endurance to HARD work and make this happen for you,
otherwise it is all in vain.
EAA Convention at Wings Park just outside East London 08-10 August. You will need to be there.
We are hoping to have a good Cubby turnout (weather permitting as always).
This will be an ideal platform for you to "spring-board" this flying beauty back into the market.
Dump all previous marketing and adverts. Its hopeless trying to breath life into a dead horse.
Come up with something new and exciting and let people see that there "is a difference" that it is in NEW HANDS.

At the Margate Airshow yesterday we had 2 Cubbys on display and there was lots of interest.
Unfortunately interest does not always turn to sales, but rather interest than none at all!!!!!

We will be there, so should you. Have a table, have some brochures, you can even use our planes as advertising. We will surely be doing a Cubby fly-past in all its glory.

Congratulations again.

Hi Jean

If I may speak up...some suggestions from cubby owner and experienced businessman.

1. just looked at www.cubby.co.za. Take this down or update it.
2. Support the existing cubby owners - are all spares available? Spares pricelist? How about AN bolt upgrade kit? maybe new wheel / brake design / kit? New windows? And so on, make it easy for existing owners to improve their cubby's or maintain them, make a decent margin on the spares, everyone happy.

Clearly state new ownership etc.

Hi Jean

Pity u didn't make EAA at wings. We had 5 cubby's there. Saw your contribution in the misasa booklet. Was nice of you to make mention of me for taking you on your 1st flip in the cubby in Margate 2010.

We had a great time there. My cubby is still there as the wx played havoc and I had to be back in JHB on the Monday. Caught a commercial flight with kulula. Flashed my pilots license and flew jump seat. Was great. Anyways coming back down to wings at the end of the month to fetch CYB.

Do you perhaps have a new tailwheel spring . Mine broke . Had to weld it for temp use. Want one with double of triple springs.

Cheers

@ bear , yes the old website is a disservice to Cubby , I do not have the access codes to disable the website, but am trying to contact the person that has the codes.I am in the throws of having a new website constructed. As for parts, we can manufacture all parts clients may need. Brakes, we are busy with a local company to manufacture brakes and wheels, with a park-brake. Kits, yes we can do that too :D As for AN bolts, few people know that rolled thread 8.8 tensile engineering grade bolts are just as strong as AN bolts.

@ Craig...... :D Yes I have to give the credit that is due to you my friend !! The best I can suggest with the tail wheel spring is, have one made at a spring-works company and go 2mm thicker than the old one. Be careful to not go too strong on the tailspring, as it may transmit too much shock into the frame and cause cracks.

Hello Jean,

some good Cubby coverage in the Aviation Mags on the EAA convention (and in the Microflight Africa Yearbook).
I sure hope that you will be more visible in the future.
You have gone to hell and back to get the business,
don't let it go to hell now that you have it!

You have such a loyal and committed Cubby ownership that could assist you if you are willing.
We had a passenger in a Cubby during the Jnb-Mgt-Wings Park-CT trip and he is very keen to get his hands onto one.
Will be a second hand one, but he is bitten.

They are now well spread around the country,
2 Margate
2 MosselBay
2 CT
Plenty in Gauteng and surrounds.

We look forward to a very proactive involvement from you in the future.
We will watch closely.

:D Thanks JP, myself not being a boasting man, I must at least say this............behind the scenes we at the Factory are busy with the first Revmaster Cubby which is front seat solo, and an order for a second one, and two more later on 8)
However that being said , this development thingy costs some serious money, and a man must live as well in the meantime  I am using my other business to fund this operation. Any spares that the Cubby drivers need,..........just give us a call on : 072 6716 240 , or email aerokits99@gmail.com

Wonderful news,
we are all very excited to see this first "new" Cubby.
I bet you are very excited to have her flying.

Then we need to get it around the country and given lots of exposure.
Let us know how we can assist.

Great week.

Hi Jean,
I have always liked the cubby. So glad to come across this thread and see things are moving again.
I don't know if you came right with the website codes. Here is some info I could find on the www.cubby.co.za domain. Domain is owned by MICROWINGS / CUBBY and Expires 1 June 2015. The current domain hosting company is http://www.alesco.co.za/index.php/contact . Maybe If you show them the paperwork that you bought the company they can do a reset for you.

Willing to help you put up a basic site, or just update the current one no charge.

Best Wishes
Johan
