Willem De Klerks Foxbat flying in Georgia - Tbilisi

This is Posted on behalf of Willem:

the photos were taken this morning from the Aeroprakt 22 at about 1300 meters AMSL.
we started the cross country from our local training airfield outside Tbilisi-the capital of Georgia, crossed the centreline of Tbilisi international and headed east .

Alot learned here about Altitude, runway crossing, communications.

The aeroprakt handled the slight turbulance very well, and eventually the flight was a pleasure and uneventfull.

A while later i took photos to share the beauty of the country with you all.

midway to the eastern side of our flight plan we saw this hstorical FORT on the mountain and we circled around to get some nice images.

The higher back ground mountains are the border forming ones with Russia.

A while later the SMALL single church on the huill was seen, this church is IN USE and is high up in the hill--note very little parking and gravel access.

Then there were teh farms ---they are beautifull, and everything is growing despite the cold -reported as 4 degrees today on the ground.

We returned across the centreline of Tbilisi International,

A fantastic two hours logged.-now on 114

and twice as many landings
