I just spent the afternoon at Gavin Walton and walked out with all the spares I needed for now - what a nice guy. I am so glad I found him and would recommend him any time.
Sheesh, talk about a fast solution to your question! Awesome!

If only Toyota was 1% as fast, they might even have located a transfer case seal for my FJ62 Land Cruiser. [-o<

I should've stuck with old cantankerous motorcycles.

How quick do you think the Triumph Motorcycle Company would have been able to supply the parts?

Same with Eurocopter/Airbus, ask them for Alo II, III or Gazelle parts and see. Ask me and see.

Compare apples with apples please. :D

I'm not angry or trying to score points, merely making an observation.

But on that score, if your mechanic says "no problem!" in response to your question ("is there going to be a problem getting parts?") when you drop the car off at the dealership (in mid-April), then you kinda expect that there will be no problem.

Add the gouging quote from the third-party specialist to recondition the transfer case (when they haven't even opened it to see what's wrong) and then I kinda wish I had stuck with old, cantankerous motorcycles. At least I could do the work myself, at least some of the time. :D

I knew running an FJ62 was not going to be cheap but I hadn't realized just how not cheap it was going to be.
