I chose the only true answer, we are all going to die......................

On the Covid side I believe it will be similar to the third wave but the media and government will blow it completely out of proportion in an attempt to force everybody into vaccinating.

My opinion:

Vaccinating will NOT prevent you from getting the virus, it will NOT prevent you from dying and it will NOT prevent you from spreading the disease, yet the vaccinated ones will have much more rights than the unvaccinated.

The only real difference lies in the severity of the sickness, which in any case varies from person to person.

The fourth wave is being generated as we speak, with the relaxing of the lockdown allowing more people to mingle and attend functions and parties and funerals it is a sure thing that the virus will be spreading gain and in mid November we will see the numbers rise again and everyone is going to be stunned "but how could this have happened?".

I have registered to vaccinate because not vaccinating is the same as peeing into the wind.

remember to live... while its still legal

But yes with relaxation in travel internationally also comes the ability to transfer it from country to country - jabbed or not.

Will people now become more responsible about transferring it, than before the relaxation of travel bans? Unlikely. So yes we are our own worst enemy in this pandemic - there will be more...so far I've managed to surf every wave to date safely.

About 2 years ago you weren't allowed to enter any shopping mall or bank wearing a mask or a full face helmet - now you CANT enter the same without it? Strange world this, with strange ideas about safety and security.

And we got restricted to when we could buy beer etc, all while we got doused in 80% alcohol solutions daily due to C19.

At least traffic cops dont measure our alcohol level on our hands, yet.

Are there any other countries showing signs of a 4th wave?

4th wave has started (and seems with a new, possibly even more infectious variant - gosh we are good at this...).

So, 4% of voters are wrong so far....

That has about a two week lag from the rise of infections (and once that drops it takes 2 weeks or so for that number to come down).

But yes - that's a more useful indicator now. Infection rate is just that. What matters is how that translates to hospital admissions and how many of those make it out of the hospital alive and without serious long term health damage.

But the poll was based only on infection numbers - not the severity thereof.

Darn, would like to change my vote. Looking at some of the overseas data, think the infection rate will be higher than 3rd wave.

A stat I would like to see this time around is the number of hospitalisations.

The guardian.co.uk usually has one for the UK. (I have not checked where they get their stats from )

Still recon we will see more infections than last wave. Though I think it will be a flatter longer curve/wave

Have just checked and the Guardian stats come from Public Health England. What's interesting is Britain have never really got out of their third wave but you can clearly see the effect of vaccination on hospitalization and death

Due to the price increase in ammunition, do not expect a warning shot.
