Re: Corona Virus
They all form part of a broader family of coronaviruses. Thus the name.
They're calling it novel coronavirus, or 2019-nCoV. This is the Wuhan version.

"....how did Dettol knew about this in 2019, I'm telling you we are being picked off deliberately!"
This will be blamed on DJT so they can try again to get him out of office. Hat, coat, door........................

Re: Corona Virus
Eish, the human makeup is very complicated:
The whole world is up in arms about this virus, hospitals built in 8 days, borders closed, travel bans, and so on.
A quick Google search on annual deaths that do not attract our attention on the same scale is astonishing:
Worldwide Annual death estimates
Road deaths - 1.35million people
Flu - 650000
AIDS related illness - 570000
Malaria - 400000
Diabetes- 1.5million
Smoking related - 7 million
ALcohol related - 3.3 million
Of this list, Flu and Malaria can be attributed to outside factors but the rest is our own doing and can be prevented with some commitment.

Re: Corona Virus
Seems like the infections are slowing down and those who recover are recovering now faster than those dying.
But then only on the latest data. Hope it improves.

Re: Corona Virus
I believe the virus is already in SA. The government say SA is virus free. I went to China Town in Bruma the past weekend, all Chinese new year festivals cancelled, as for a month end it was very, very quiet, shop owners were wearing their little masks that begs the question........what does the SA Chinese know, that the SA government does not........

They just do as their government tells them! The instructions are not country specific.ERASER wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 6:04 amI believe the virus is already in SA.
