Mike,

Don't know when she will be in the air again, I bought a Bushbaby to start flying, currently busy with my license. They also build two Turbulents and new wings for two Emeraudes (both destroyed as far as I know), first I want to fix the one Turbulent (80% complete) and then I will start on UFY. Unfortuanetly it is going to be a long prosses as she has water damage (look at the pic's on the yahoo site under ZS-UFY).

Hopefully I will start with UFY in 2011.

Hi,

ZS-UJJ used to be at Standerton flown by Don Barrie( flywild on avcom), later it moved to Volksrust (somewhere in the nineties) from there I lost track of it. PM flywild he should know where she is at.

Hope this helps :D

There is going to be an OSHKOSH at STELLENBOSCH fly-in on the weekend of the 8 May and it would be awesome to get as many Jodels there. The RV boys are trying to get as many of their kind there as well. So anyone who knows anyone who has, can rent, borrow or whatever a Jodel - please let them know.

Hi Mike

Not making any point. If you click on the links and read the text in the articles, you'll note that the DR400 and in fact all DR series Robins are based on the Jodel design. It has an interesting description of the design of the Jodel-type cranked wing which I thought Jodel fans might find interesting. Hence my comment, "a variation on the theme". The Robin DR series are considered by some to be Jodels although tecnically, this is not correct.

I have a DR400 and it is an absolute pleasure to fly, is relatively fast and a very capable aircraft, due in no small part to the brilliance of the original Jodel design.
