Israelis

Hamas killed over 900 Israeli civilians (mostly women and children). Method and brutality of attacks involved raping burning babies

Palestinians

Israel has killed more than 13,000 Palestinian civilians (+-3,500 women and +-5,500 children with the UN saying that 70% are women and children) this is in Gaza alone. Due to Hamas attacking from and in amongst civilian areas...launching rockets from these areas amongst other attacks

Israel has also killed over 250 Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank as well.

Counting Children
Although that part of the world is central planning for miracles expecting Gaza females to give birth to fully formed 18 year olds carrying guns and supporting Hamas is an expectation too far.

Logic (I’m no mathematician so won’t work it out) thus tells us that if the number of children killed is distributed between the ages of I month and 18 years the chances are a large percentage of them would be in and around 8-10 years of age.
Lets modify your post a little it's rather disingenuous and camouflages certain realities...

And obviously the IDF will not want to reveal certain discoveries for intelligence and strategic value reasons
Wouldn't raping a burning baby be a little painful?
But for a comma, facetious Eddie...
Straighten up and fly right!

My post - Yesterday

I was surprised that "Children" were counted up to 18 yrs old .......
I somehow expected a lower age definition.
by HJK 414 » Sun Nov 19, 2023 2:33 pm

Something that came to my attention today .....

In the definition of deceased "children" the age definition is 18.
Under 18 are registered as children.
In my (perhaps naiive view) the "children" were toddlers or young kids.

Many young Palestinians (15 to 18 year old) are carrying arms and are fighting IDF
It suddenly made the number of "killed children" look very different to me ...
Albeit that we are seeing a lot of "civilian deaths"...... 8-[

Yet - despite Roger asking to stop the personal attacks - there is always a Troll that can not control his urge to make underhanded and nasty remarks.

:D Just teasing you, what you meant was obvious - my kingdom for a horse stuff ...

And, yes, those Hamas terrorists behaved like sick inhuman animals (worse maybe) in that attack. I don't think anyone here has denied that. And it's probably right to keep beating that drum because it would to an extent explain Israeli anger. But "Revenge is not a strategy."

Cool, objective heads are desperately needed there at this time.

Hang in there JK, you've posted some good comments. I also considered leaving but then recently took the attitude of ignoring trolls and clickbait, really not worth the effort.

And while on the subject, thanks Snoopy, I appreciate your valid input, keep it up.
(Maybe one day we could meet for coffee at FASH and have a mature adult conversation about our messy world... )

I agree, hang in there JK and just ignore. I'm sure most people have worked out by now which posters add constructively and which ones just like stirring. Don't let a troll get his way.

IDF has advised that they have detained a couple of 100 of Hamas terrorist suspects start of ops.

And these have been revealing a lot about the use of hospitals by Hamas including Shifa...watch the interviews, which should in part start circulating in international news within the next few days.

Anyone who thinks the Israeli population is divided and this will lead to their downfall is a fool. Allot of them.are very passed at the government but most if not all stand behind the operators in Gaza ànd the idf.

It was though by hamas they can devide Isreal but now the vast majority of them are certain that hamas must by utterly destroyed and that peace with Gaza.while there is any form of hamas is not possible at all.

And it seems that the idf is going far out their way to minimize civilian casualties unlike the propaganda spewed of idf being war munger wanting to kill everyone in sight.
Idf has dropped papers, used social media and loadhalers in Arabic to tell people of impending attacks. They open borders for 6 to 8 hours a day to get people out of Gaza (with checks needless to say)
They are doing house house ops now and this would have been the ideal time for them to waste everyone as has been alluded to.

Being anti Israel's conduct with regard to the occupied Palestinian territories is not being anti-semitic.

Nor is there some sort of worldwide Jewish "nation". That they're all the same, all over the world, was, in fact, anti-semitic Nazi propaganda that came up with the concept that Jews were a race and had to be dealt with as such.

I know this video won't convince the hard right or the hard left but for those still on the fence and who would like to know more, here is a Jew talking on the subject ...

You only have to read the broad range of commentary from local Israeli Journalists and contributors, to see the diverse views.
Sure, there is commonality but there are also differences.
A view that any society, let alone this one, functions as a monolith is not based in reality.
I doubt anyone here is qualified to make such broad statements from so far away.

Jy is reg! Die Israelis staan nou saam meer as ooit tevore!

Wat die 13k ''casualties'' aanbetref. BS! Ek twyfel of dit meer as n kwart is. Dis hoe hierdie ekstremiste oorlog voer.

You need to seriously want to think inside of a vacuum if you are unable to grasp that in all 3 of the conflicts, prior to this one, that both the IDF and UN agreed with the numbers provided by the ministry.
I can’t be bothered to repeat why.

If they are wrong let in independent observers.Or release the actual IDF numbers which they refuse to do.

So ja. Believe what you want, but as long as the thinking is based on feelings, we may as well invite a budgie to this topic, it is likely capable of broader thought.

Best to read from other sources and make one's own mind up what to believe than rather argue things on this forum. One starts to assume and the mind runs away misguiding the fingers on the keyboard. In short I am not qualified or educated in what is happening or happened in Israel / Gaza's past.

My heart goes out to innocent babies being killed on both sides. Burned, ripped apart by a bomb/missile, shot to pieces by a machine gun is just horrible to think about. That alone has a tremendous effect on your current state of believing, accepting, misjudging or denying what is happening. Exactly what is happening in the world. The Chris Hedges Report is interesting and enlightening yet, once again, there is other reporting equally from another perhaps similar or opposing views and aspects. All respected and experienced in the middle east situation.

Here we sit arguing about the ongoing war. Always the expert in our own minds yet actually know "sweet blow all". My final say on this particular forum of Israel and Gaza. May peace prevail on Avcom and the middle east. Thanks.
