Indeed. I see lots of people providing videos of their camping trips across provincial borders and I (actually my ‘friend’) am keen to know how this is achieved. One individual posted a video on YT of himself and his friend camping in the Northern Cape - based out of GP... so yes, I’m curious. BUt mostly jealous.

My airfield at Dragon Peaks is 700m at 4000ft. Land towards the mountain and takeoff away. We have mogas, AVGAS (please order in advance) and jet a1.
If you are not trained or don’t have an appropriate aircraft for a short airfield we can pick you up at ElMirador if arraigned in advance.

There is a restaurant and shop on site, so you don’t have to bring the kitchen sink.

Is this THE Dragon Peaks airstrip or a different strip? Would like to fly in with my Maule.

Neville, thank you for the videos.

They brought back so many good memories from the 80's on our trike trips, Dragons Peak, the Wildcoast and more.
All I have are still photos so its really great to see live footage.

Time to do something similar with the Safari :D

I flew her for 15 years and had loads of fun. A very good and reliable little aircraft.
