Concorde (G-BSST) came to South Africa for 'hot and high' trials between 22nd January and 20th February 1973.

Decided to take a trip down memory lane, and in so-doing came up with the following blasts from the past about ZS-HXM...

First off, an article as featured in the July 1991 edition of Court Helicopters’ Rotors In Motion magazine:

Next up, we have some photos of ZS-HXM on low skids (with the rear skid-fairings removed) at the Court Helicopters V&A Waterfront Heliport/Base in April 1992:

And finally, ZS-HXM at Court Helicopters' Rand Airport Base/Hangar (this time on high skids) a few months later:

It is undated, but some research shows that a Concorde set a London - Cape Town record of 8hrs 8 mins in 1985, so I'm guessing that's when the photo was taken. I do not know who the photographer was.
Hi Jester

That record was set by G-BOAC on 28 March 1985. A photograph in my collection taken on that date indicates that the aircraft had a different colour scheme. So I guess your shot must have been taken later.

Yip, as mentioned before, definitely 1992-3 given the state of construction in the V&A. (and I know, did some serious underage beers at Pumphouse back in '90 :-). P

Reviving an old thread.

I am trying to find pictures of Concorde G-BOAC taken on the 28th and 29th March 1985 on its record flight London to Cape Town.

Most of the pictures on here seem to have disappeared due to time.

Any help appreciated.
